The use of pneumatic knee joints has become increasingly popular among those needing mobility assistance. However, users often question the safety of these devices for daily activities. In this article, we explore key findings from our comprehensive survey regarding the safety of pneumatic knee joints.
To address the safety concerns surrounding pneumatic knee joints, we designed a survey that garnered responses from over 1,000 users. The survey aimed to understand user experiences, perceived safety during daily activities, and areas where they felt improvements could be made. Respondents included a mix of individuals with varying degrees of mobility issues, occupational health professionals, and caregivers.
Our survey revealed that about 83% of respondents felt confident using their pneumatic knee joints for daily activities. Many users highlighted the stability and support provided by modern designs, which have improved significantly over the years.
